Majas con Licra, 2019, is a performance documented though self-portraiture depicting the Cuban chusma. Inspired by the Cuban women Librada and I witnessed and grew up with, these self-portraits align with a Cuban femininity and feminine people of our culture. Chusmeria is often adopted by trans and queer femmes as a way of being and a form of resistance.
