The Fly Trap Paper of Life (2022). This photograph contemplates the structure of feeling stuck, caught, and paralyzed in the traps I have fallen into living in the margins. Titled after Roy DeCarava’s The Sweet Flypaper of Life, 1955, this self-portrait acts as both a document and symbol that meditates on my body in proximity to the conditions I live under.
