Herramientas del Poder II (Restrained) 2022, examines how power restrains, disorients, and exhausts its opponents. In this descriptive durational performance the artist not only stages an act of detainment to question power, but also assumes a position that renders how people survive their historical situations. Investigating how power uses an offensive tactic of control to administer fear and abuse during arrest.

From November 10, 2021, to March 20, 2022, the Bronx Museum presents Bronx Calling: The Fifth AIM Biennial showcasing the work of 68 early career artists from the 2018 and 2019 cycles of the Bronx Museum’s AIM Fellowship program. Co-curated by Ian Cofre (Director, PS 122 Gallery) and Eva Mayhabal Davis (Co-Director, Transmitter), the fifth edition of Bronx Calling considers the multiple crises of health, grief, the environment, and identity that define our contemporary moment.
